Hi all! This week, we’re highlighting Brev.dev, a code development platform focused on reducing GPU spend for AI/ML developers. We spoke with Nader Khalil, co-founder and CEO, about Brev.dev and his experiences!
Brev.dev Feature
What do you currently do?
I'm co-founder and CEO of Brev.dev. Brev is the simplest way to run your code, and we're focused on AI & ML developers since Brev's optimizations can reduce a GPU spend by up to 90%.
What prompted you to go down this career path and how did you get into this field?
My last startup went through YC, and as we were scaling, it wasn't the physical fleet that slowed us down, but actually the software! Our dev environments kept us from shipping, so after that experience, my co-founder Alec Fong and I immediately started building Brev— specifically to solve our own problem. As we've been building for the last 2 years, we noticed our users using Brev to build AI applications, so we've leaned in.
What originally got you interested in connecting with the MENA startup ecosystem and other like-minded folks here in North America?
I love seeing other Habibis in Tech. It feels like there are so many tight groups of people in the ecosystem, I would love to see MENA founders & investors lifting each other up!
What types of connections are you looking to make through Viaka? This can be from the MENA side, as well as with other MENA-connected folks in the Viaka Network
I'd love to connect with other great founders!
Bonus: favorite dish from the MENA world?
